In the vast world of digital media, I truly believe there’s so much potential waiting to be unlocked. The key? Investing time and being committed to learning.

Right now, I’m starting from scratch with a balance of $0. I’ve invested $898 in a new laptop I picked up yesterday. Also, I’ve gotten subscriptions to Udemy and LinkedIn Learning. Oh, and I should mention, I’ve also enlisted the help of ChatGPT for spelling checks. Even after living in Ireland for 11 years, English isn’t my first language. I want my blog to be authentically me, but I also want it to be easily understood by readers from the U.S., the UK, and everywhere else.

Looking ahead, I reckon I’ll need to get a tax or business registration number at some point. I’ll cross that bridge when I start earning money and have the business structure in place. This online venture remains a side gig for now. I’m fortunate to have a full-time job that I absolutely adore. Yet, launching my own online store is something I’ve dreamed about for a while. Starting from zero and building it up – I’m convinced it can work.

I recently read that for a blog to gain traction, posting about three times a week is ideal. So, starting in September, that’s my game plan. Maybe I’ll even post a bit more this month to kick things off.

There’s another driving force behind wanting this online shop. Traveling is my passion. Exploring new places with my husband, trying out fabulous restaurants, and having adventures with friends is what life’s all about for me. An extra few hundred dollars each month would be the cherry on top.
